Contract Type: Fixed Term (November 2025 – February 2027), Full Time

Job Summary
The Business Analytics Advisor will play a key role in the successful delivery of CPABC’s data analytics projects. Working closely with the business to lead requirements gathering and providing project management, strategic guidance, and development support. The position will also be responsible for driving enterprise analytics standards, coordinating work with internal resources, IT groups, external resources, and advising on emerging technologies to support organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering (35%)
- Lead and gather and document business data and analytics requirements;
- Define projects and deliverables based of business requirements;
- Design and develop prototype data solutions and dashboards;
- Leverage advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract further insights from data;
- Advise senior stakeholders on analytics opportunities and best practices.
Data Modeling & Solution Development (30%)
- Use Data Management practices to manage, prepare, cleanse and augment data in preparation for use and analysis;
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality;
- Design and develop analytical solutions, including reports, summaries and dashboards;
- Provide ongoing support of data models and analytical solutions;
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
Project Coordination (20%)
- Lead complex analytics projects with organization-wide impact, including scoping, planning, and deployment of data-driven solutions;
- Participate in project requirements gathering and solution design;
- Ensure solutions are built to enterprise standards and technologies;
- Provide guidance to project teams and mentor junior analysts as needed.
Business Support (15%)
- Act as key liaison between the business and IT groups, working closely with IT to support the data, analytics and reporting platform;
- Support Data Governance and Data Quality working groups and activities
- Provide ongoing training on available reporting and self-service analytics tools;
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate systems and extract data to data lake and data warehouse;
- Contribute to the development of enterprise analytics strategy and represent analytics in senior-level discussions.
- And other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Key Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or Equivalent
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in Business and/or Data Analysis, Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence;
- Three (3) plus years of Project Coordinator or Technical Lead experience;
Demonstrated Skills and Abilities
- Previous experience with MS Power BI required;
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Microsoft, Business Objects, etc.);
- Experience with MS SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS);
- Experience with MS Azure data warehouse and Fabric an asset
- Solid knowledge of data governance and data management practices;
- Experience with Business analysis and requirements gathering
- Experience with AGILE and project management methodologies
- Experience coordinating work with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C++, Python, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure

- Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
The starting annual salary for this position is between $92,700 – 110,057 per annum, based on candidates’ qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
